Online sessions are calm, collaborative, and centred around you, and follow the same structure and depth as in-person work. Sessions are held via Zoom, and many people find them just as effective.
All you need is a quiet, comfortable space and a stable internet connection.

Being in your own familiar environment can often make it easier to relax and engage in the process. Before we begin, we’ll take a moment to ensure you feel comfortable, supported, and free from interruptions.

After a brief settling-in period, the session becomes your space to talk about what has been happening, what you would like support with, and what you hope may change. There is no pressure to share more than you are comfortable with, and nothing is rushed. Some questions may feel a little different to what you’ve been asked before, and “I don’t know” can be an acceptable response.

Sessions may include a combination of psychoeducation, guided hypnosis, practical strategies, and gentle nervous system support such as breathwork.
Everything is explained as we go, and you are always welcome to pause or ask questions.

During hypnosis, you remain aware and in control. Many people describe the experience as feeling deeply relaxed or focused, similar to daydreaming or becoming absorbed in thought. There is no right or wrong way to experience it.
If the internet connection drops at any point, the session simply pauses and you will naturally return to your usual level of awareness. We reconnect and continue, nothing unsafe or uncomfortable occurs.

At the end of the session, we take time to reflect and discuss next steps. Some people notice shifts straight away, while for others change unfolds more gradually as they listen to their personalised recording and practise the strategies discussed. Both experiences are completely normal.

Many clients also appreciate the ease of accessing support from home, particularly when managing anxiety, burnout, chronic pain, grief, mobility challenges, or simply wanting to avoid travel and traffic.
Before Your First Hypnotherapy Session
To get the most from your session, it can help to:
-
Maintain an open mind, rather than fixed expectations
-
Wear comfortable clothing
-
Ensure your device is powered up
-
Allow some space before and after your session where possible
-
Be honest about what’s been difficult, even if it feels messy or unclear
You don’t need to prepare anything special or know exactly what you want to work on. Part of the process is clarifying that together.
For Anxious or First-Time Clients
It’s very common to feel nervous, unsure, or sceptical before a first session, especially if you’ve never experienced hypnosis or therapy before.
You won’t be analysed, judged, or pushed into anything. You won’t lose control, reveal secrets, or be made to relive experiences before you’re ready. The work is paced carefully, with your safety and comfort always coming first.

If something doesn’t feel right, we pause. If you need clarity, we talk it through. You’re always an active participant in the process.

Is This Safe for Me?
(Pain and Grief Work)
Working with pain or grief requires care, respect, and clear boundaries.

The approaches I use are supportive therapies and are not a replacement for medical, psychological, or psychiatric care. For physical pain, this work focuses on pain management, nervous system regulation, and emotional coping, alongside appropriate medical treatment.

Grief work is always paced gently and guided by you. There is no expectation to relive traumatic experiences or intensify emotions. The focus is on creating safety, stability, and support as you navigate loss in your own time.

If you are currently receiving medical or mental health care, this can be discussed prior to booking to ensure the work is appropriate and well-supported.

Your safety, wellbeing, and sense of control are always central

When Hypnosis & Psychotherapy May Not Be Suitable
In some situations, hypnosis or related therapeutic work may not be appropriate as a standalone support.
This may include:
-
Active psychosis or unmanaged psychiatric conditions
-
Severe dissociation or difficulty staying oriented and grounded
-
Situations requiring urgent medical or psychiatric intervention
-
Acute or severe physical conditions that have not been medically assessed
If you’re unsure whether this work is suitable for you, you’re encouraged to reach out before booking. I’m happy to talk things through and so we can assess any possible contraindication, and where appropriate, suggest alternative or additional supports.
Confidentiality and Safety
Your privacy and wellbeing are always respected.

Everything shared in sessions is confidential and held within clear ethical and professional boundaries. My work is trauma-aware, client-led, and focused on creating a safe, supportive environment where meaningful change can occur at your pace.

If something feels unclear at any point, you’re encouraged to ask.
Transparency and trust are essential parts of the work.
